Hiw should I prepare for Skin Tightening with Revunion?
Dr. Zelko asks that you minimize the use of aspirin, ibuprofen, and certain supplements (such as ginkgo biloba, ginger, and vitamin E) before treatment. Certain medications and dietary supplements are known to increase the risk of bruising. It is a good idea to stop smoking and all nicotine products for several weeks before and after your procedure. Research shows that nicotine (in any form) may slow down the healing process.
What is Skin Tightening recovery like?
You are awake throughout the procedure and will be able to walk around immediately afterward, however, be sure to make arrangements for someone to drive you home. Once you are comfortable with general movement, you can return to work and driving. Most patients return to work in a day or two after skin tightening. There is no pain during the skin tightening treatment performed in Dr. Zelko’s office. Immediately following the procedure, you may experience soreness and tenderness. Any discomfort can be managed by pain killers that will be prescribed by Dr. Zelko. A compression garment will be worn after your procedure to help reduce swelling after lipo and improve the contour of your abdomen during the healing process.
What should I expect during the procedure?
The skin tightening procedure is done in the office with a local anesthetic. You’ll be fully awake and alert during the treatment. A gentle vibration is felt as the anesthetic is applied to the areas to be treated. Dr. Zelko ensures your comfort throughout the entire procedure.
Tickle Lipo can treat multiple problem areas at one time. The vibrating cannula liquefies the fat while the non-fatty tissue nearby is not harmed. This allows the skin to naturally tighten, resulting in a slimmed and contoured look! The design and vibration of the cannula create a tickling sensation for the patient, hence the very appropriate name for the procedure.
The next portion is the skin tightening of the Renuvion device. You will feel totally comfortable during this process. At most, you will just feel the movement of the handle as it passes over your skin and a sensation of mild warmth. You will need to wear a garment to help control swelling for 1 after the procedure. You can return to work once you feel comfortable and are without pain.
What results can I expect from Skin Tightening?
Skin tightening is a combined procedure. The effects of liposuction are seen immediately following treatment, with noticeable fat reduction. Skin tightening with Renuvion occurs over time. It takes several months for the skin to tighten fully as your body responds to the treatment.
It takes about 3 months to see the final results of Renuvion. Liposuction can involve post-op swelling that takes a few months to go down as well. Therefore, patients should wait at least 3 to 6 months to assess their final skin tightening results. It is a one-time treatment, in most cases. Are the results of Liposuction and Renuvion permanent?
The results of liposuction with Renuvion are considered permanent. The only way to undo the results is by gaining weight.
It’s important to reach and maintain a stable body weight before undergoing the treatment.
